Coaching — TMatsu
Coaching

When the version of yourself
that once fit no longer does

Leadership coaching for people navigating meaningful transitions — in career, identity, and life. Available in English and Japanese.

Who this is for

People at a turning point

Coaching works best when someone is ready to look honestly at where they are — and willing to do the slower, deeper work of deciding who they want to become.

Leaders whose old success formula has stopped working
Professionals navigating a significant career transition
Founders and solopreneurs navigating growth and complexity
People renegotiating identity across a major life stage
Japanese professionals navigating global careers and contexts
Those feeling the pull toward something new — but not yet sure what
What brings people here

Five kinds of transition

These aren't mutually exclusive. Some transitions trigger others. Several can happen at once. Most people arrive carrying more than one.

01 A career or role transition +
02 An identity transition +
03 A life stage transition +
04 A values transition +
05 A cultural or contextual transition +
TMatsu's commitment

What we acknowledge, celebrate, and build on

These five qualities are already present in the people TMatsu works with. The coaching relationship is designed to recognize them, create space for them, and help them grow.

Courage
The willingness to look honestly at what's true — and to act from that truth, even when it's uncertain or inconvenient.
Transition
The capacity to move through change without losing yourself — to let go of what no longer serves while carrying forward what still does.
Depth
The ability to slow down, look beneath the surface, and engage with the harder questions — not just the urgent ones.
Self-authorship
The growing ability to be the author of your own beliefs and choices — rather than acting from inherited scripts or others' expectations.
Wholeness
The integration of the many parts of who you are — professional and personal, past and becoming — into a life that feels coherent and worth living.

How a coaching
engagement works

The most useful first step is a conversation. No agenda beyond the one you bring.

A note on AI
TMatsu experiments with AI tools as a complement to coaching — including Granola for session note-taking, used with client consent. These tools support the work between sessions, not as a replacement for the human relationship at the center of coaching.

Most useful conversations begin before anything is figured out.

Whether you've never experienced coaching, have been considering a coach, or aren't sure if this is the right timing — a 30-minute conversation is open to anyone at any stage of exploration.
